I've lost count of how many times I've told a kid at work that phrase when they're kicking and spitting over the blue train or the tickle me Elmo. There's a reason why we tell children to share: it spreads the happiness of said toy, food, etc. to more people.
Sharing is Biblical: "All the believers were united in heart and minds. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had...There were no needy people among them, because those owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money to the apostles to give to those in need." -Acts 4:32&34-35
To share is to be a Christian steward. We are filled up to be poured out. Our housing, food, and money is not ours to keep.
Like many times before, I'm taking it back to Kindergarten.
Sharing is caring. But really.
